Over the last months, we’ve been advocating for a specific set of tools – our 3 key policy recommendations – to support the cleantech sector: a 30% refundable investment tax credit, the inclusion of crown corporations in the Greening Government Strategy, and incentives for Canada’s traditional export industries to decarbonize in order to raise the bar for our economy’s competitiveness in the global market. All parties had picked up at least one of these recommendations in their campaign platforms. The Liberals included the 30% refundable tax credit in theirs. Over the next months, we will do everything to help implement this important mechanism.
